Soulisquoy at 40
For 40 years Soulisquoy has been dedicated to offering open access print facilities to professional artists, individuals and groups.
Operated and managed by a committed group of volunteers, Soulisquoy provides a unique access point to the community of Orkney through a wide programme of courses, exhibitions and workshops. Officially founded on the 14th of April 1982 by a group of local artists and printmakers with the intention of helping artists to make print works sustainably within Orkney opposed to having to visit larger cities. The first site of this studio was the former wartime building Nº 16 within the Hatston Industrial Estate. We are currently housed in the centre of Stromness at the Wasps Studios.
